Sixth appointment for the new edition of ‘Design Issues’ lecture series. This is scheduling a number of open lectures enquiring into the theoretical, critical and historical questions surrounding design. Every week international special guests will discuss on specific emerging design topics related to society, technology and industry. The sixth lecture will feature: MASSIMO CANEVACCI (Professor of Cultural Anthropology, Digital Arts and Culture at Sapienza University of Rome and Edward Said Chair, UNIFESP, San Paulo, Brasil) Title: Ubiquitous Design: an ethnographic exploration The appointment is on WEDNESDAY 13.12.2017 at 14:30 in the Piccinato Lecture Hall at the 2nd Floor of the PDTA Department. Massimo Canevacci is a widely published author, awarded anthropologist and contemporary culture enthusiast.

His extensive research on ethnography is spanning digital cultures, bodyscape and the communicational metropolis. In particular, his lecture is reflecting on the concept of ubiquity and design, which is the central concept of everyday experiences, based on digital revolution, transforming the traditional compact identity in an ubiquitous subject. Design Issues is a lecture series enquiring into the theoretical, critical and historical questions surrounding design. International special guests will discuss weekly on specific emerging design topics related to society, technology and industry.
